New Zealand & Australia JEWELRY/ILLUSTRATION - World Cup Month!

New Zealand: Julia deVille

This designer from New Zealand bets on joining her two passions: taxidermy and jewelry!
Inspired in the Memento Mori and the Victorian Mourning jewelry, she creates pieces mixing precious metals, stones, hair, and animal fragments.
Her jewelry is truly shocking: death is a taboo theme in many cultures, but these pieces remind us of our inevitable death. They really put a halt to the rush we live in planning the future, and they make us take a breath and enjoy the present, our life.

Don't miss her website where you'll find many pieces of jewelry and taxidermy projects.

Samantha Battersby is the artist behind this lovely illustration brand.
Her work is so eye catching! It must be the rich black (achieved with charcoal), then combined so well with vibrant touches of color pastels.
Her illustrations motifs go between beautiful Art Decó style ladies, grooming birds, geishas, and dreamy mermaids.

You may visit her website, her etsy shop and her blog and enjoy more of her work.
